A presentation designed to educate participants about the threatened loggerhead sea turtle from hatchling to adulthood, conservation efforts such as the Sea Turle Protection Program and individual ways to help these animals survive. The presentation is the entire group, then 2 small groups of 10 will proceed to the beach to examine the nesting habitat and nest sites. No turle sightings are guaranteed. Cost is $20 adults, $15.00 children and no children under 4 are allowed. Pre-paid reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext 223. This talk and walk is a go regardless of weather. Location given out with reservation. |
