| Description | Participants will be led by an experienced bird watcher around the 68-acre property at Honey Horn. The Honey Horn property has a unique combination of habitats including Salt Marsh. Maritime Forest and open fields. These varying areas allow partipants to see many different species of birds-making Honey Horn one of the best bird watching sites on Hilton Head Island. Depending on the time of the year, diverse birds can be found at Honey Horn-you may see: Summer Tanager, Eastern Kingbird, Painted Bunting, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Egrets, Herons, and many, many others. Reservations are required. Meet in the parking lot at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Must be at least 12 years of age to participate. Wear walking shoes, bring your own binoculars if you wish. Cost is $12.00 per person and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext 223 or online. |
